Sue Cook
With a background in medical journalism and a focus on healthcare communications for around 30 years, Sue has been a leader in this field. She has worked in Australia, Asia Pacific and the UK with local and global communications agencies, leading teams delivering award winning health communications and advocacy work.
Most recently Sue led the Health and Wellness practice at the communications agency HAVAS Red where she oversaw the development of the integrated communications offering for health sector organisations. Over the past three decades she has partnered with organisations striving to make a difference to the lives of those living with cancer, working with individuals impacted by different forms of cancer and advocacy groups providing that support and a public voice for their needs.
She has also worked with corporates committed to providing inclusive and supportive places to work. As a team leader she was mindful of needing to be aware of potential support that may be needed in the workplace for people undergoing physical and mental health challenges.
As a Strategic Advisory Board Member, Sue brings this professional background as well as the personal experience of having loved ones diagnosed with cancer to provide her communication support for Live Work Cancer.
Sue maintains her lifelong interest in health reporting, taking more time to travel and enjoy the arts.
